I read this article around 10 days back and since then I've only heard people tell me it's a great article. The very same people, on discussion, agreed that although the points were true and factually correct but there was no aim to the article and it was just haywire. Read again, if you will, and tell me what the aim of the article is. An aim is the least I expect from such a supposedly prolific writer.

ddue i think i takes a lot to accept things right in face...the author has done the same telling us that we live in secluded world during IIT and it efect our socializing skills or needs i must say....you will feel it when you will come out of campus...

I agree with everything he says. I just don't think there is any point to it. It's just blabbering about IIT randomly, much like we've done for years now. Nothing new in here, just that he's on the other end of the thought spectrum on this one. There should be an aim, a sense of direction, which is missing here. Thus, I tag it pointless.

@ Pratik

Apart from the 'secluded world' scenario, I actually tend to agree with Abhishek. The article lacks a purpose. Its more like someone is reminiscing his days at IIT than a coherent collection of thoughts.

@indigo,abhishek: dude you say the article miss a point, direction and aim. i agree that it started like pointing put something but ended differently. my point is the way have has described us. 'the elite iitian' species is very much true...i am just appreciating the way he has portrayed our life....i don agree with somepoints like we haven done anything significant. Its the IIT alumnus base which is getting the project to India...but everybody has their own opinion. you agree to some, you fight with others.

@ Pratik

I actually had loads of issues with the article. Too many to jot them down in the comments section. I jotted them on my blog. Have a look, and may be u'll start thinking differently about the article

The article tended to portray IITians as some alien species, who too lead normal 'earth'ly lives.
